Hi, I'm Wandi. I am an Online Educator, Private Tutor, and Children's Book Proofreader and Editor. I hold two  professional certificates: Elementary School Teacher (PreK-8), and Teacher of English (9-12), issued by The State of New Jersey, and a certificate in Editing, from the School of Professional and Continuing Studies, at New York University. I have over 20 years experience in Public Schools, teaching English Language Arts and English courses, using a balanced literacy approach, in Grades 2-10. I teach students, from all socio-economic demographics and cultural backgrounds, across the spectrum of English Language proficiency levels, including ESL, ELL, and Bilingual students. I teach Foundational Literacy Skills, Conversational English, Reading Comprehension, English Language Arts, American Literature, Classic Literature, Current Events, and Standardized Test Prep classes. I specialize in English course design, instruction, and tutoring for Conditional Enrollment of International Students at private Schools and Universities. As a Teacher of English, my philosophy is to share my love of Reading. Whether from an Award-winning Children's book, Young Adult novel, Classic Literature, Newspaper Articles, or SAT Test prep materials, my hope is to engage student interest, motivate, encourage, inspire, and elevate students to their highest possible social & emotional and academic potentials for a life-time joy of reading.
